Centraflow Engineering

Specialist cement placement engineering.

We support operators with focused engineering around cement placement, cement evaluation, annular flow modelling and technical assurance. Each engagement begins with the well challenge, the available data and the operational constraints.

Engineering first.
Technology second.
Evidence always.
Positioning

Engineering before technology.

Centraflow Engineering is the engineering arm of Centraflow AS. We assess the well, fluids, geometry, operational constraints and available evidence before recommending a response.

Recommendations may include changes to centralization, casing movement, displacement practice, evaluation methods, conventional casing accessories, third party solutions, or Centraflow technology where technically justified.

Services

Focused on cement placement and zonal isolation.

The original concept included a broad service list. This version concentrates on the services most directly connected to the core engineering proposition.

01

Cement placement engineering

Displacement design review, standoff and eccentricity assessment, fluid hierarchy, rate and rheology review against the achievable annular geometry.

02

Cement evaluation

Interpretation of acoustic and ultrasonic cement evaluation logs, diagnosis of channel geometry and root cause, and translation of log response into placement lessons.

03

Annular flow modelling

Eccentric annulus hydraulics, circumferential velocity distribution and application specific evaluation of displacement behaviour.

04

Centralization and casing movement

Standoff assessment, centralizer type and spacing review, and evaluation of achievable rotation or reciprocation and its effect on displacement.

05

Casing accessory assessment

Assessment of cementing hardware against consistent engineering criteria, including what the accessory can physically change and what the supporting evidence demonstrates.

06

Technical assurance

Specialist peer review of cementing and barrier programmes, desktop risk review, and review of proposed contingency measures.

Approach

A simple engineering workflow.

The same sequence is applied whether the outcome is a design change, an operational change, a technology recommendation, or no change at all.

01

Understand the challenge

Define the required isolation outcome and what has been observed to date.

02

Review the data

Geometry, surveys, caliper, fluids, job records, cement evaluation and offset experience.

03

Identify the dominant risks

Determine whether geometry, fluids or execution are constraining achievable displacement.

04

Develop recommendations

Rank practical measures according to what the available evidence supports.

05

Define evaluation criteria

Agree what will be measured and how the result will be interpreted before execution.

06

Assess performance

Evaluate the result and feed the learning into the next well or campaign.

Why engage us

Independent problem definition, with practical field context.

Reduce repeat failures

Identify why placement is failing before the next well repeats the same result.

Evaluate options consistently

Compare operational changes, conventional hardware, third party solutions and Centraflow technologies against the same engineering criteria.

Capture campaign learning

Use post job evidence to improve the interpretation basis and future design decisions.

Team

Project based specialist support.

Centraflow Engineering is led by experienced well engineering professionals and supported by independent specialist advisors selected according to the technical requirements of each project.

Discuss a project

Start with the well problem.

Share the available well data, the cement placement or isolation challenge, and what has been observed. Centraflow can define an appropriate engineering scope before any technology recommendation is made.
